otp.rip field guide
What to do when a verification code does not arrive
A missing code can result from an entry mistake, a destination delay, a rejected route, an expired order or a message that was never sent. Work through the checks in order instead of requesting many codes at once.
Open your SMS ordersConfirm the destination and address
Make sure you selected the same service in otp.rip that is sending the code. For SMS, enter the full international number including its country code. For email, copy the full mailbox address and check for typing or spacing errors.
Return to the destination and confirm that it accepted the number or address and displayed a message saying a code was sent. A validation error before that point means no message is on its way.
Check order state before resending
Keep the protected order page open and confirm the order is active. Allow a reasonable delivery interval. If you request another code, use the newest one because destinations commonly invalidate earlier codes.
Avoid rapid resend loops. They can trigger the destination’s limits while producing several messages whose codes are no longer valid.
Choose the next action
If the destination explicitly rejects the route, review its requirements and use another permitted option. If no message arrives before the order ends, follow the expiry or cancellation result shown in your account. For a received but invalid code, request a fresh code only after confirming the previous one has expired.
Contact support with your public order reference and a clear description of the stage that failed. Never send your password, API token or verification code.
Common questions
Should I keep pressing resend?
No. Wait for the active order and use the newest code; repeated resends can trigger limits.
Can otp.rip force another website to send a code?
No. The destination controls whether and when it sends.
What should I share with support?
Share the public order reference and symptoms, never passwords, tokens or received codes.
